Bigman and Daddy Time
I absolutely loved the day that me and my Bigman built a bridge in our backyard. Though this was done several years ago, and both of us are a little older, the sweet time that we had that day as men of the house was irreplaceable.
Today I was off from work, so things timed out perfectly. I went with my son on a second grader field trip and we put more memories in the heart for both of us to reflect upon as we grow older. We went to see the new Dr. Seuss movie that's out right now, and it was right up my alley. The movie theater was digital, so the picture was without those funny lines on the screen that I grew up with, and the general manager of Caramike Cinemas spoke to the group before the movie started. He went on a spill on how much the theater cost (17 million) and then said not to put your feet on the back of the seat in front of you because I quote, " The person sitting there might get "pisted off at you." I still think that he is the one that would get "pisted off." After he said that, all the parents just looked at one another with amazement. I don't know about you, but if there was no one in front of me the ten piggys were resting just right on the armrest in front of me. Oh well, I have pisted people off in the past, and I am sure that it will not stop. No, I did not rest my feet in the seat before me....someone was there...lol!
We topped the day off with eating at the pizza buffet at Pizza Hut, just me and my Bigman. It was a cloudy day full of rain (one of my favorites) and we had no place to be, so we took our time stuffing our bellies full of pizza and then hit the local coffeehouse for a smoothie and a cup of Sumatra.
I hope to always make these type of memories with all my kids. I have three great kids and everyone is different, so memories have to be creative (which I love to do off the wall things). A lifetime is not enough for me to do and say all the things that I want to to these three that make my world go around. As for today, I love you Malachi and we will always be close. For I will always be in pursuit of your heart regardless of our ages to come. I love you my son!

You guys looked like you were havin' a great time!
I was always "room mother" in my kids' classrooms and was lucky to chaperon on field trips. I have so many great memories, spending time with the little ones. There aren't too many things in life as fun and gratifying as watching children learn and have fun.
Wish my kids were little again... but I get to enjoy the grandkids now :-)

Been back here a few times to see if you'd posted (hint-hint) and I must tell you... This is the first I'd noticed how treacherously close that drill is to your jugular vein!

Gotta love a man who is in love with his kids like that! That's one of my favorite things about Jeff, too.
Can I just say, I can't believe the manager used that word in front of a roomful of 2nd graders! Where I come from, that's a bad word!
