"Play Ball!"
Got some great shots of my #1 son playing ball the other day. Boy, he makes his Daddy proud!!! It's fun to watch this age play. Usually, if your team can hit you can pretty much win the game. Defense is no ones strong side, that usually develops a bit later on. At least at this age, when a grounder is hit the infield does not clear out in a chase to see who can get to it first! That is so funny to see in tee-ball!
I love the way my son sticks his little tongue out when he is concentrating on something...this time it's running! He is just like his Momma...in some ways...lol!
My boy is built for football, but if he gets that bat on that ball......WATCH OUT!!! Check out that Davis butt. Look at the dust under the feet of the little guy in the air...he missed it! Sorry Charley!
Did I also mention that he has a cannon for an arm! And very accurate too! I did not have the size as a kid that my son has, but I threw strikes down the ol' pipe as a pitcher. I think I am going to work with him on pitching. I cannot wait to get a catchers mit and spend time in the yard with my buddy. This time of year I can smell the wild onions being cut in the yards, feel the cool breeze in the air and what I hear in my mind is one thing, 'Play ball!"

Aw, it does my heart good to hear such a proud Poppa. :) It's so fun to watch our kids enjoy something we love.

I remember a time I went to watch you play ball, seeing these pics remind me of that time. I love you little brother and I am proud of you both. As well as my sweet and beautiful neices. Love you all, Sister and Aunt Cyndi.

Great pictures, Joey. You kind of took me on a trip down memory lane. My own son had an almost- 15-year baseball "career." He was a terrific pitcher in high school. I would love to go back and relive the excitement of some of those games. But not trying to keep those confounded pants white!
Malachi is lucky to have you in his corner :-)

Ah the good old days of baseball. I was on our little league team when I was young. Wasn't very good, spent my first two years in right field. They moved me to first base for awhile in my last year and actually did alright at it.
I miss those days!
