The Greatest Warrrior

Billy #2

Wow, typepad is really acting strange today......oh well. With Memorial Day coming up and all, I was looking through pictures and thought I would post one of my Dad when he served in the military. I, in my life at the present, am older than my father in this picture. It's funny to think of how time changes us all and how the role shift happens between parents and children.

I want to thank all that are serving in the Armed Forces in the present and also for those that have served in the past. I thought of this years ago and I find it fitting to mention once again in this timely fashion, there once was a Warrior that went to battle for the souls of creation and took on every evil that was present with purity in His heart and came out the Victor with His blood spilled upon a holy cause. His name, Jesus.

Though there may be fire in the skies and the sound of turmoil in the distant hills of each life that reads this, there must be one truth that we all reflect upon in times of need...the battle has already been won. Across a Warriors lips, just before He drew his last breath, for each and every soul that will cling to this truth, He uttered the good news that your battle has been waiting on...."It is finished."

On this Memorial Day weekend, take the time to reflect on the One that went to war for you before you ever drew your first breath or took your first step upon soil that was created through Him and Him alone. The greatest One that ever fought for your heart and soul, remember the Holy One...Jesus.

Great post Joey, and a good idea for memorial day. I hadn't really thought of it that way before!

Jeff said exactly what I would have.
A blessed Memorial Day to you and your family :-)

Great picture and great thoughts!
