Thoughts of a Doodlebug

Ah, what can I say about my "Doodlebug?" The middle child, beautiful yet hard to define. The one out of the three that will surprise me on what adult I think that she will become (in a good way..lol). When I look into her eyes I am lost for words. I see so much, but am not able to explain it.....again in a good way. Her birthday is 8 days from mine and this year she will add one more wrinkle to the face of her Daddy. She turns 13 this August. So....that makes one that just turned 16, one that will turn 13, and one that keeps my youth with a bit of a pulse...my son who will turn simply 8 this summer.

Tristan is a blend of her Mom and Dad, a cookie cut-out of her Mom with a splash of her Daddy somewhere on the inside. I pray that I am not here to see the final chapter of her life written, but thumbing through the chapters that are already writ gives me a smile of the ones to come. Just thinking about you today Doodlebug.

Beautiful post. I'm inspired by how you're inspired by your kids.
Your kids are nicely spaced, giving you a good opportunity to appreciate their individual ages and stages.
But you're still gittin old... ;-)
